John Hammond Moore correspondence, 1966.

This collection consists of correspondence presumably created in the course of his research. The first item is a card and on the front of the card is a drawing of the first Governor's Mansion in Atlanta (1870-1921). The card, dated 4 December 1966, is from Mrs. Georgia Atkinson Bradford, daughter of former Georgia Governor W.Y. Atkinson, to Mr. Moore. Mrs. Bradford writes that Mr. Moore's article in an Atlanta newspaper is very accurate regarding the death of the football player, Richard Von Gammon, during a University of Georgia football game in 1897. The second item is a letter, dated 19 July, 1966, from Mr. Moore to the Alumni Office of Vassar College. In the letter Mr. Moore inquires about the death date of Atlanta native, Jennie Johnson Phinney.
